Recipe: Ritz Cracker Cookies


  • 1 cup dates, cut up
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 can Borden’s sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 oz cream cheese


  1. Cook the dates and condensed milk until thick, cool and then add nuts
  2. Spread mixture on bottom side of cracker
  3. Put on cookie sheet and bake at 300 degrees F for 8 minutes
  4. Cool
  5. Make frosting by combining powdered sugar and cream cheese and stirring until smooth, adding milk if necessary for proper consistency
  6. Yields about 7 dozen
  7. (This recipe won a blue ribbon at the Blue Earth County Fair and kids love them)
