Pecan Rolls

Pecan Rolls are a gooey, fresh and tasty treat. The perfect recipe to compliment your breakfast or a mid-afternoon snack fit for anyone!

Recipe: Pecan Rolls

Ingredients

  • Rolls:
  • 1 cup warm potato water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1/2 cup warm mashed potatoes
  • 3 cups shortening or butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 pkg yeast
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 4 or more cups flour
  • Pecan Topping:
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp light corn syrup
  • 1 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Mix roll ingredients well
  2. Add enough flour to make dough smooth and elastic, about 4 or more cups
  3. Knead well
  4. Let rise about 1 hour, then make into rolls
  5. Bake in 375 degree oven for about 20 minutes
  6. Topping:
  7. Mix ingredients and cook until butter is melted
  8. Put in pan, then place rolls on top of topping
