Peanut Butter Cookies

  • 1/4cup shortening
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Mix all ingredients in mixing bowl. Chill dough for 1 hour. Roll dough into small balls and then dip the dough balls into sugar. Put the dough balls on a cookie sheet and press with a fork. Dip the fork into water to keep it from sticking to the dough. Bake at 375 degrees for 5-8 minutes.
