Orange Cream bars

Recipe: Orange Cream bars

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 up soft butter
  • 1 tbsp orange peel
  • 2 tbsp orange juice
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tbsp baking powder
  • FROSTING:
  • 1 1/2 c ups sifted powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Combine first 3 ingredients and pat into greases 9 inch pan
  2. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes
  3. Cool
  4. Blend orange peel and juice into the eggs, add sugar, flour and baking powder
  5. Pour over cooled crust and bake 25 minutes
  6. Cool
  7. Frost
  8. Yields 30-36 bars
