nut crust chocolate pieNut Crust Chocolate Pie is as delicious to eat as it sounds. A creamy chocolate filling teamed up with a crust made mainly of the nuts of your choosing. A slice of this chocolate pie and a cold glass of milk makes for one of the best desserts you could ask for.

Nut-Crust Chocolate Pie

American, Side
  • No-Roll Crust:1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • Filling
  • 1 package instant chocolate pudding
  • milk
  • aerosol whipped cream for topping
  • At least two hours before serving:
  • Prepare crust: Preheat over to 400 degrees. In 9” pie plate, with hands, mix all ingredients for crust until soft and pliable. Press evenly against bottom and sides of pie plate. With fork, prick bottom of pie shell in several places and score sides of shell.Bake 12 minutes or until lightly browned, cool completely before filling.
  • For filling:
  • Prepare pudding as label directs for pie filling. Refrigerate 30 minutes or until chilled
  • To serve:
  • Decorate with some whipped cream around edge of filling.
