Lemon Topping for Angel Food

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/2 pt. whipped cream
  • Juice of 1 orange
  • Rind of 1 orange
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 heaping tbsp. flour
Directions
  • Mix sugar and egg, add orange juice, rind, lemon and flour. Cook in double boiler until thick. Cool, then fold in whipped cream. Cut angel food cake into three even layers. Put filling between layers and on top and serve.
