Jelly Roll

  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • Beat eggs until thick, add sugar a little at a time. Stir in flour and add water and vanilla. Bake at 375 in a jelly roll sheet pan lined with wax paper; for 12-15 minutes. When out of the oven loosen from edges immediately and turn upside down on a towel sprinkled with powdered sugar. Pull off paper carefully. Spread with jelly while hot. Roll. Wrap in towel and cool.
