Horseradish Pickles

Spicy pickles with a hint of horseradish will set your pickles head and shoulders above the rest. You will get raves on these horseradish pickles!

Horseradish Pickles

Ingredients
  • 2 quarts Kosher Gedney whole dill pickles
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2/3 cup white vinegar
  • 5 oz. jar horseradish
Directions
  • Drain pickles
  • Cut into quarters and put in colander, Run cold water over them, washing them off thoroughly. Put back in jar.
  • Put 1/2 jar horseradish in each jar on top of pickles.
  • Bring to boil in saucepan sugar, water and vinegar. Pour ½ brine into each jar. Put lids on tight. Shake jar, mixing horseradish and brine into pickles. Put in refrigerator and serve next day.
