Funnel Cake

Recipe: Funnel Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 pint milk
  • 2 eggs
  • Flour (enough to make consistency of pancake flour
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Beat eggs well
  2. Mix milk and eggs together, beat thoroughly, add vanilla, salt and baking powder and mix
  3. Add flour
  4. Use an 8 inch frying pan
  5. Put oil in pan 1 inch deep and let get hot to 375 degrees F
  6. Pour batter through a funnel into oil beginning at center of pan and circle to outside
  7. Turn if necessary
  8. Fry to light brown color and serve sprinkled with powdered sugar
