Frozen Strawberry Dessert

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • Mix flour, brown sugar, walnuts and butter together; spread mixture in 13x9 inch pan; stirring occasionally. Bake 20 minutes at 350. Remove 1/2 cup of crust mixture from pan for topping. Combine egg whites, sugar, berries and juice in bowl. Beat on high speed until stiff, about 10 minutes. Fold in whipped cream. Spoon over crust top with remaining crumbs. Freeze 6 hours. Serves 12-15.
