Dill Pickles

  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 2 quarts water
  • 1 cup pickling salt
  • Dill
  • cucumbers
  • Sterilize jars and place a bush of dill in bottom of jars. Pack cucumbers in jars tight and place 1 bush of dill at top of jar. Place alum to top of jars. Bring vinegar, water and salt to a boil to make brine. Pour over cucumbers and seal.
