Dill Pickles

Dill Pickles are a summertime staple in Minnesota and this heirloom recipe will NOT disappoint. Make extras because your family and friends will eat these in the blink of an eye.

Dill Pickles

American, Side
  • 1 gallon water
  • 1 qt vinegar
  • 1/4 cup pickling salt
  • Put dill head in bottom and top of jars. Garlic is optional. Pour boiling hot mixture over pickles packed in jars. Let stand in hot water bath (sizzling but not boiling) overnight. Jars should seal. Makes 5 pts.
