Crinkle Top Cookies

Ingredients
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp soda
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
Directions
  • Roll in small balls. Dip in sugar. Put in pan, sugar side up. Bake at 375 degrees 8-10 minutes. Cool slightly before taking from pan.
