Recipe: Chocolate Dessert

Ingredients

  • CRUST:
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • FIRST LAYER:
  • 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 large container Cool Whip
  • SECOND LAYER:
  • 2 pkgs instant chocolate pudding
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • THIRD LAYER:
  • 1 small container Cool Whip
  • FOURTH LAYER:
  • Toasted, shredded coconut

Instructions

  1. Mix crust ingredients and press into 9×13 inch pan
  2. Bake for 10-15 minutes in 350 degree F oven
  3. FIRST LAYER:
  4. Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar until light and fluffy
  5. Fold in 1 large container of Cool Whip
  6. Spread on crust after crust is cool
  7. SECOND LAYER:
  8. Mix instant pudding and milk until thickened
  9. Spread on top of creamed cheese layer
  10. THIRD LAYER:
  11. Spread 1 small container Cool Whip on top of pudding layer
  12. FOURTH LAYER:
  13. Toast shredded coconut in oven, watching carefully
  14. Let cool
  15. Sprinkle on top
  16. Freeze or refrigerate until used
