Chili Con Queso

Dinner, American
  • 5 tbsp. butter
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cans peeled green chili peppers, chopped
  • 1 lb. jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup tomato puree
  • 3 tsp. chili powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Saute butter and onion, add chili peppers. Put in double boiler and add cheese, tomato puree, chili powder, salt and pepper. Cook 30 minutes. Add pimento for color.
