Brownies

Recipe: Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Cream shortening, sugar and salt until fluffy
  2. Stir in cocoa, then add egs and vanilla
  3. Mix well
  4. Add flour and stir until smooth
  5. Add nuts
  6. Spread about 1/4 inch thick on greased cookie sheet
  7. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes
  8. Frost with chocolate frosting
