Basic Dessert Crepes

Basic Dessert Crepes

American, Dessert
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Beat with a rotary beater until mixed. Heat a 6 inch skillet. Remove from heat. Spoon 2 tbsp batter, lift and tilt to spread batter. Return to heat, brown on one side ONLY. Invert pan over paper toweling, remove crepe. Makes 16-18 crepes, grease skillet often.
  • Fill with ice cream and top with fruit that has been partially thawed and sweetened.
  • Fill crepes with favorite fruit and top with whipped cream or sprinkle with powdered sugar.
