Barbecued Pork Chops

barbecued pork chopsWhile most pork chops end up baked with herbs, grilled or fried, Barbecued Pork Chops are an excellent break from the norm. These pork chops are great with baked potatoes or the excellent twice baked potatoes in our tailgating recipes section.

Recipe: Barbecued Pork Chops


  • 2 tbsp celery seed
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2-1/2 lbs pork chops
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 2 tbsp ketchup


  1. Mix all ingredients, except vinegar and ketchup, and turn chops around in mixture.
  2. Place covered chops in small roaster.
  3. Mix the vinegar and ketchup and pour over chops.
  4. Bake 1-1/2 to 2 hours in 350 degree F oven.
  5. Roaster is to be covered.
