Banana Nut Bread

  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 unbeaten eggs
  • 1 cup mashed bananas
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice or vinegar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • Add sugar to melted butter gradually and blend together well. Blend on unbeaten eggs and mashed bananas. Add lemon juice or vinegar to milk before adding to mixture and fold in the chopped nuts. Sift flour and add soda and salt. Stir together and add dry ingredients to the mixture. Pour into well greased 13x4 1/2 inch loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 60 to 70 minutes. Cool before slicing.
