Bacardi Rum Cake

Recipe: Bacardi Rum Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 1 3 oz. package vanilla pudding
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup Bacardi rum
  • Topping:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup rum

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle chopped nuts in 10 inch tube pan that has been greased and floured
  2. Combine yellow cake mix, vanilla pudding mix, eggs, water, oil and rum
  3. Mix at medium speed for 4 minutes
  4. Bake 1 hour at 325 degrees F
  5. Topping:
  6. Combine sugar, butter and water
  7. Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly
  8. Stir in 1/2 cup rum and bring back to boil
  9. Spoon over cake
