Apple Sauce Nut Bread

Apple Sauce Nut Bread is a sweet bread that is the perfect dessert for a dinner which includes pork. The two flavors mesh amazingly well and compliment each other, making for a meal to die for.

Recipe: Apple Sauce Nut Bread


  • 2 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tbsp melted margarine or butter
  • 1 cup chopped nuts


  1. Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, soda, salt and cinnamon
  2. Blend in bowl the beaten egg, applesauce, butter or margarine and nuts
  3. Pour over flour mixture and stir just enough to moisten dry ingredients
  4. Bake in a greased loaf pan for 1 hour at 350 degrees F
