Apple Cake Pie

Apple Cake Pie is a sweet and creamy treat that combines the ease of cake with the portability of a pie. It’s a traditional farm dessert fit for any setting and best with fresh picked apples.

Recipe: Apple Cake Pie


  • 6 large apples, sliced thin
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp salt


  1. Place sliced apples in buttered pie pan (10 inch)
  2. Sprinkle with lemon juice and 1/3 cup sugar
  3. Cream 1/4 cup margarine, 1/2 cup sugar
  4. Add 1 beaten egg
  5. Sift flour, baking powder and salt
  6. Add to creamed mixture
  7. Spread over apples
  8. Bake in 350 degree F oven for 40 minutes
  9. Serve hot or cold with thin custard sauce, whipped cream or ice cream
